[Preliminary Spec] DustSense Pro – Professional-Grade Particulate Sensor for Demanding Conditions

:bar_chart: DustSense Pro – Precision Outdoor PM Monitoring with Anti-Humidity Control

DustSense Pro is a professional-grade particulate matter sensor built for environments that demand high accuracy and consistent performance under harsh weather conditions. It includes an intelligent heating system to eliminate measurement errors caused by condensation and high humidity.

:white_check_mark: Key Features

  • Particle size detection range: 0.3 µm to 12.4 µm (based on RI of 1.5)
  • Size classification: 16 software-defined histogram bins
  • Sampling interval: 2 to 30 seconds (configurable)
  • Particle counting rate: up to 10,000 particles/second
  • Flow rate: 0.24 L/min (active sampling)
  • Coincidence probability: < 0.7% at 10⁶ particles/L
  • Operating temperature: -10°C to +40°C
  • Operating humidity: 0 – 95% RH (non-condensing)
  • Heater function: Integrated – automatically managed to prevent condensation
  • Power supply: Solar panel or AC (with internal battery backup)
  • Communication options: LoRaWAN, LTE-M, NB-IoT

:package: Ideal Applications

  • Environmental monitoring stations
  • Industrial parks, tunnels, highways, urban hotspots
  • Research facilities and government air quality programs

:gear: Designed for:

  • Detailed dust profiling and professional analysis
  • Operation in fog, rain, and cold weather
  • Accurate, long-term data collection with minimal drift

Figure 1 Comparison of PM2.5 monitoring with TSI OPS 3330 and DustTrak instruments

Figure 1 illustrates a comparison of PM2.5 monitoring results between an DustSense Pro sensors, the TSI OPS 3330, and the DustTrak instrument. All devices were configured with a 5-second averaging interval while sampling ambient air inside a workshop environment. The PM2.5 concentration was derived from the raw particle count data of the OPS 3330 for reference purposes.

Figure 2 Comparison of PM10 monitoring with TSI OPS 3330 and DustTrak instruments

Figure 2 presents a comparison of PM10 measurements obtained from an DustSense Pro sensors, a TSI OPS 3330, and a DustTrak instrument.
All devices were configured with a 5-second averaging interval and were sampling ambient air within a workshop environment. The PM10 value was derived from the raw particle data of the OPS 3330 for reference purposes.
